New Beginnings

September has always felt like a month of new beginnings. Relaxed after a long vacation, with clear mind and that newfound energy, I would pick something new to try out. It could be just simple small things, like taking a different work out pass at the gym, start reading a new thick book or cook something I have never cooked before.

This year September is even more special. After my world tour Europe - USA - Asia - Usa - Europe, I am back in my beloved Gothenburg. Ready for cosy autumn days, rainy nights filled with french movies and good books. But I am even more ready to see what or rather who is coming in to my life.

A new job means meeting new people.  It brings new relationships, new knowledge, new adventures, new challenges, new wins, new life experiences, new friends. How exciting!

I am so very excited to met you!
Have a lovely day.

Last Summer Days

Summer came late to England this year. But when it finally came we took the opportunity to spend some time exploring the coastal line. One day we ended up in a lovely little town called Brighton. Here some photos from that day.

Art Deco & Hot Sun

I found some more photos from our lovely last stay in Miami. This particular day we took a tour of Miami's famous Art Deco District. It was very very hot, but the blue sky, palms and our adorable guide Pamela made the day very very enjoyable.
This area is basically the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world and comprises hundreds of hotels, apartments and other structures erected between 1923 and 1943. Mediterranean, Streamline Moderne and Art Deco are all represented in the District. I just adore all the colours and shapes, and this feeling of being transported to a different era.

Welcome to Miami

My first time in Florida and Miami. I was very happy indeed receiving a call from our supplier, asking me to plan a last minute meeting at their headquarters in Miami before leaving States.  Yes please. After San Francisco that was next city on my have-to-visit-while-in-States list.

There is this naturale attraction I feel for some cities. Something just clicks from the moment I touch the ground, or perhaps even before, while I am imagining and visualising how it will feel to take the streets of that particular city. I knew I would really like Miami even before I came here. This authentic environment, a genuin mix of latino relaxed and retro cool. Summerish music in every bar, beautiful girls walking in bikinis. Hot air, palms and sand. Turquoise water. Art Deco District and posh hotels. Do I need to explain myself any further? Look at the colour of the sea, I mean that alone would be reason enough for me to fall in love with a place. You will definitely see me returning to this crazy beautiful spot in the future!

LA Summer Love

This early summer we stayed in LA for 4 weeks. It actually felt like we were living here rather than just passing by, being tourists, doing sightseeing and all that fun stuff you can find in guidebooks. This time we had a home. We were shopping for groceries, we had our favorite coffe shop and we met the sweet sweet lady who lives in that white house on the other side of the street. We had friends that we met for drinks and we were browsing in furniture shops. At first our home was Santa Monica, and our residence just few steps away form the easy going beach life. Later on we switched this relaxed beach atmosphere to more sophisticated West Hollywood vibe.
What can I say, the sun, the beach, the people.  Food, drinks, places, happenings, it was a perfect mixture of all the good things you can get from one place. I am very grateful that we had a opportunity to try this as well - living in LA. How cool!

Welcome to Santa Monica.

Venice Beach one sunny morning.
Santa Monica Pier

Proper breakfast - egg sandwich and blueberry pancakes.

Santa Monica shopping street.

We discovered Pinkberry. It was in a way love at first site! (love at first bite)

This has to be the cutest Diana I have ever seen. Pink & Furry!

We spent many hours pretending that we are house hunting. I mean why not!

If I would be living in Santa Monica it would be right here - Venice Canals.

And later on we moved to West Hollywood.

All this great food, oh my...

And we are ending this session with the famous LA landmark and an amazing sunset.
